Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Susan is a skilled, committed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, experienced in treating individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. She provides intensive outpatient therapy and supportive services to adults with anxiety and mood disorders. Susan obtained additional training to develop expertise in trauma resolution therapy, hypnotherapy and complex trauma treatment.
Also being a group Counselor for adults, Susan has facilitated and co-led group therapy sessions focused on Coping Skills Training, Trauma Resolution, Addictions Recovery/Recovery Maintenance and Relationship Stabilization and Enhancement.
Susan has developed and implemented training for Community Support Staff in use and understanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-based coping skills with clients in community. As a guest speaker, Susan has provided information and insight to various community groups to aid in understanding and supporting those with emotional and mental illness issues within their populations.
