Rachel Kohn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2008 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2011 from Florida Gulf Coast University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Phi Kappa Honor Society. Her internship included providing individual and group therapy at the Children’s Advocacy Center to children, adolescents, families, and adult survivors of abuse and trauma.
Rachel moved to the Central Florida area in 2011 and has worked in Community Mental Health and Private Group Practice in inpatient and outpatient settings for more than five years. She has worked with diverse populations and is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and experienced in many treatment modalities. Rachel specializes in the treatment of trauma, depression, bipolar, anxiety, and other co-occurring disorders.
Rachel utilizes Supportive Therapy, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, and other therapeutic approaches. She uses an eclectic approach in treatment as she believes that each person is unique and responsive to individualized treatment. She provides individual, couples and family therapy to meet the varied needs of her patients. Rachel believes that everyone has the right to find peace, balance, and happiness in life and would like to support you on your journey to becoming your best self.
