Kurt Wentzel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in both inpatient and outpatient counseling settings. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Kurt has previously worked in behavioral hospital settings working with a wide range of mental health issues including schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, addictions, and family oriented/interpersonal concerns.
Delivering both immediate crisis counseling as well as structured process oriented counseling, Kurt is a big proponent of self-actualization, meeting each and every patient where they are in their life’s journey and working along side them to reach their positive destination and full potential. By utilizing an eclectic approach with mastery in a wide variety of counseling techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Process/Communication Therapy, Addiction Recovery, Solution Focused Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy to name a few) he implements treatment designed to focus on each individual’s specific traits and abilities to ensure positive changes and personal growth that can be sustained throughout their life’s path.
