David is a born and raised Floridian from Fort Myers, FL. He went the University of Central Florida here in Orlando where he pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science Pre-Law. After realizing his passion truly lied in Medicine and Science, he became an EMT and Medical Assistant while continuing his education. Eventually he moved to Hickory, NC where he went on to obtain his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
After graduating, David moved back to the Orlando area where he started his career in Orthopedic Surgery specializing in Traumatology and Elective Procedures. He learned through this experience how important patient education, communication, and developing a provider/patient team approach to treatment are for the patients overall well-being. David soon understood his true calling was in Psychiatry and Behavioral medicine. David has many family members in the Medical and Psychology fields of practice and thus continues the family tradition. David thoroughly enjoys interacting with patients and working on a treatment plan as a team approach with the patient. He believes this is essential in developing trust and cohesiveness with each individual patient while helping the mind heal. David believes in compassion and empathy when it comes to working with his patients as they are going through difficult times in their lives. His drive at work each day is to help as many people as possible and improve the mental health of our community.
